The Cayman Islands needs positive change.
After four years under the PPM government, the Cayman Islands has seen its national debt balloon to over CI$650 million. They have neglected the cornerstones of our economy, destroyed the morale of our teachers and police force, failed to keep proper accounting of government business, and stood silently by as our communities became less safe, jobs became more scarce, and our cost of living rose dramatically. We cannot afford another four years of the PPM’s failed policies and broken promises.
The Right People, Right Plan for our country.
This is a critical time in our islands’ history. The dramatic gains we made over the last 30 years are being threatened as the PPM government does nothing to protect our Tourism and Finance industries. Worse still, we have seen a major decline in the safety of our communities and the overall standard of living for our people. The PPM seems frozen in fear and uncertainty. Only the UDP has a proven plan to turn things around and the right mix of talented, caring professionals to deliver positive results to the people of the Cayman Islands.
A Better Way Forward
A good job for every Caymanian. A quality education for every student. Safe and proud communities where our children can play, the elderly and disabled are well cared for, and the natural beauty of our land and the values of our people are preserved. This is the vision of the United Democratic Party and its candidates. A shared vision of hope and prosperity for the Cayman Islands that is grounded in common sense principles and Caymanian determination. There is a better way forward for our country.
