Pearlina Mcgaw-Lumsden

Pearlina has the right mix of education and experience. She began her college education with an associates degree from the International College of the Cayman Islands and was later awarded a scholarship to pursue an accounting degree from Howard University in Washington, DC. She also has her masters’ degree in law from Bristol University in the United Kingdom. Pearlina is currently the corporate manager at Admiral Administration Ltd an indigenous Cayman hedge fund company and previously held the same position at Caledonian Bank. In addition, Pearlina was a lecturer at the International College of the Cayman Islands for Business Law and General Principles of Law. In recognition of her leadership and contribution to community service, she was nominated as a finalist for the Young Caymanian Leadership Award in 2006.

Pearlina is deeply committed to public service. She’s a former board member of Generation Now, a youth empowerment program which provides amongst other things, workshops on personal budgeting, scholarships, and professional development. She also served as a member of the Health Services Authority and Immigration Appeals Tribunal. Pearlina has given a number of motivational talks to the students at George Hicks and John Gray High School, and is a member of the Young Business and Professional Women's Club, as well being a former member of the Turtle Farm Board and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Cayman Islands.

Pearlina works hard to improve the lives of others. She served on a task force of Young Business and Professional Women's Club which helped implement laws to prevent sexual harassment and stalking. In addition, Pearlina is actively involved in various other community projects to encourage young Caymanians to develop themselves to their fullest potential and to give back to their communities. She is a notary public in and for the Cayman Islands, and she and her husband Colin are members of First Assembly of God Church.
