Mike has a proud history of service to Cayman. Over a 34-year career at Cayman Airways, Mike worked his way up the ranks to become the first Caymanian President and Chief Executive Officer of the airline, heading a staff of 300. He is a strong believer that having our own national airline was, and remains, critical to Cayman’s future. He has applied his years of experience to guide the company through many years of incredible growth as well as unprecedented challenges. Mike is a proven leader and problem solver. In the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan, Mike’s extraordinary relief efforts quickly reconnected Grand Cayman with the outside world and helped to establish a lifeline of supplies and assistance for this country. Along with proven disaster management skills, Mike displayed great compassion and concern for the well-being of his staff and the thousands of residents at Owen Roberts. Mike is a man of strong character and values. With the love and support of his wife Lissa, Mike has raised four children, teaching them to take pride in the country and to always give back to their community.
